Karine Pelloquin and Frédéric Aguiard , founders of COUTUME{STUDIO}, renovated this beachside vacation home, in a cul-de-sac leading directly to the beach.
Several months and some work later, the old fisherman's house arranged in a U shape increased from 30 to 65 square meters thanks to the addition of an extension and regained its raw beauty as if frosted by the sea air.
We could almost feel the sand slipping under our feet.
Whitewashed walls and small typical openings make up the facade of the house, enhanced by anthracite gray shutters to respect the spirit of the place. Passing through the door, the living room directly welcomes visitors and leads to an opening, the previously hidden stone walls have been discovered and are highlighted with a lime base and a white clay-style concrete floor. .The materials are raw, a little distorted and imperfect as if they had always been there...
