Decoration of a Private Hotel in Bordeaux
Marie Claire House No. 508
A 19th century private mansion revisited in a chic and shocking setting, where the walls come alive with colors, where the designer furniture is punctuated with extravagant pieces... Karine Pelloquin and Frédéric Aguiard who created COUTUME{STUDIO} are in charge of the decoration.
Objective: rethink the places and give them a modern touch with furniture that stands out , apart from conventional pieces and popular publishers. They focus on originality, with creations by designers found in galleries or even on Instagram, who will bring that touch of singularity to energize the interior. From the entrance, the large wood and brass chest of drawers by Ferruccio Laviani, topped with burnt wood and bronze candlesticks by sculptor William Guillon, or the handcrafted clay bead chandelier set the tone.
A clearly offbeat yet refined style , thanks in particular to the walls largely covered in blue.
Throughout the rooms, unexpected objects and lighting fixtures disrupt the marble fireplaces, moldings and woodwork...
There is a contemporary art gallery spirit...
