Karine Pelloquin and Frédéric Aguiard designed this minimalist house, all in concrete, metal and glass.
A monolith which opens widely to nature and which constitutes a beautiful setting for the sober furniture, design and offbeat objects that the owners love.
Nourished by precise references, such as the Case Study Houses imagined at the end of the 1940s in California. We wanted the house to fit into the place, while being part of our time, without make-up, without forced effects, and above all by trying to create an architecture corresponding to current needs", a house inspired by these old constructions, but more “monolithic” style, long contemporary farmhouse which respects the appearance of the neighboring houses.
To visually delimit the spaces in this large volume, the COUTUME{STUDIO} decoration firm played on the high ceilings, in the living room, the island is a 19th century billiard table found before the construction of the house. The space was imagined taking this piece of furniture into account from the start of the project.
For the interior design, everything was designed with the same desire to create sequences, frames, surprises using furniture that juggles between personal creations and furniture by contemporary designers...
