California Dreamin'
A bit of California in France, the mental image is quite clear, the result too...
The interior is full of surprises. The reason for this? Karine and Frédéric from the COUTUME{STUDIO} decoration firm have this self-deprecation, this touch of humor which allows them to unleash their imagination.
The places are populated with creatures, sculptures in different styles, a goddess of the vine not far from a nun stuck in a bubble of devotion, a root in the shape of a bovine, when in the living room a chubby and enthusiastic cherub watches over a bench. But that's not all. The portraits of the house, in particular the magnetic beguine, the Belgian nun of the stay, have however not been found. It was Karine Pelloquin who drew her brushes, “in a rigorously non-artistic, but decorative approach!”, maintains this veteran of Applied Arts, who above all wanted large format subjects whose austerity nevertheless knew how to keep company with the monumental table (old fair table).
So many treasures unearthed which highlight the modernity of the pieces at the other end of the decorative chessboard...
